Glossary
Sclera: White part of the eye.Cornea: The transparent dome of the eye.
Macular degeneration: Degenerative changes in the macula, the part on the inner layer of the eye responsible for visual acuity.
Autologous bone marrow transplantation: A procedure in which bone marrow is removed from a person, stored, and then given back to the person after intensive treatment.
