Melanin: Dark pigment that provides color to hair, skin, and choroid of the eye.

Melanonychia: Melanin-derived brown-to-black pigment formation in the nail


Melanocyte: Skin cells that produce a pigment called melanin and can change into malignant melanoma.

Hematoma: An accumulation of blood from a broken vessel.

Nevus: Medical term for mole.
