What are the Symptoms & Signs of Patellar Instability?

Some of the major symptoms and signs are highlighted below:

• Movement of patella to one side
• Difficulty in straightening the knee
• Clicking or locking sensation in the knee
• Knee pain, swelling, and stiffness in the affected limb
• Grinding or creaking sensation that the kneecap has shifted out of place
• Deformity in the affected knee
• Pain under the kneecap or knee catching, when deep knee bending is involved
