Causes

Treatment
- Apply pressure using ice-pack
- Mouth rinse: Pinch of salt in lukewarm water
- Rinse twice a day to reduce swelling
- Consult a dentist if bleeding continues
- Avoid aspirin intake
- Massage gums regularly
- Reline poorly fitted dentures
- Take vitamin supplements if necessary
Prevention
- Avoid Tobacco
- Avoid snacking between meals
- Reduce Carbohydrate- rich food
- Remove plaque every 6 months
- Brush teeth using soft-bristled brush
- Floss teeth regularly
