Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited is a joint venture between Tata Group and American Insurance Group, Inc. (AIG), both holding a stake of 74% and 26% respectively. The company began its operations in the year 2001 and launched products in various fields of insurance, like health, personal accident, marine cargo, automobile, travel, and property.
The company established Tata AIG Academy in the year 2014 to establish a center for excellence in the field of insurance. The aim of the academy is to align training courses to meet the business needs of the company while also providing its employees an opportunity to gain knowledge and qualification to stay abreast in today's competitive world.

It is a cashless and transparent health insurance policy with no co-payment on treatment expenses.
