Cheese / Butter/ Margarine
Amongst the butters, the low fat options (lite, nutralite margarine) are better options than standard butter as they are lower in saturated fats and calories.
But cheese spreads, cheese are a better fat option than any kind of butter too as they are lower in calories and include the benefits of protein and calcium too. But as it is still high on fat the portion size needs to be restricted.
Low fat dairy products
Low fat dairy products like milk, paneer are a better option for diabetics, heart patients and obese people as they are lower on cholesterol, saturated fats than their standard counterparts.
However, a normal adult and child with healthy weight can opt for the medium fat variants as the fats provide essential fatty acids for brain development, vitamin D, A which are important too.
