Drunken Driving - Law in Some of the Countries

World over there are problems related to drunken driving.


"One in every 122 licensed drivers in the US was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in 1997." - US Department of Transportation.

"During 1998, nearly a quarter of Australian men and a tenth of Australian women drove while under the influence." - Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

In England the law says that if the intake exceeds 80mg per 100ml of blood, the minimum disqualification from driving is one year for the first offense. For the second offense within a period of ten years, the sentence can go up disqualification for three years. Substantial fine and an imprisonment of up to six months can also be imposed.

Drink and Drive? Never!
