Starve and Live Long
Starve and Live Long
Taking less food has proven to be a time-tested strategy that delays ageing.
Throughout the history of the planet, the prime obstacle faced by the members of the animal kingdom was intense draught and food scarcities. Yet most of them have survived and have multiplied several fold.
In 1950's scientists discovered that consuming 30-40 % lesser calories than normal, helped to build up resistance and, reduced the chances of developing
age-related diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and heart diseases. They also found that there was a monumental increase in the life span by 30-50%. It has therefore been prudently inferred that calorie restriction strategy is a time-tested mechanism which delays ageing and, astonishingly, is also considered an effective mode of survival.
