Symptoms of Bleeding Disorders
Spontaneous, long-lasting bleeding episodes for long periods of time are very common in bleeding disorders especially after surgery, dental procedures, injuries or other kinds of trauma.Acquired bleeding disorder maybe discovered by chance when a person notices that the cuts are taking longer to stop bleeding or if the mucus membranes ( mouth, nose or gums) bleed spontaneously when brushing teeth. If you are taking aspirin or any other anti-coagulant this maybe commonly seen.
Bleeding disorders symptoms include:-
- Bleeding from nose or gums or both
- Heavy menstrual periods
- Blood in the stool and/or urine
- Bleeding into joints which are arthritic-type symptoms
- Easy bruising
- Anemia
- Loss of vision due to retinal hemorrhage
