New Research

New ways to treat and prevent developmental brain disorders such as Dandy-Walker Syndrome are being searched for. Dandy-Walker Syndrome is now regarded as part of an emerging class of diseases called ciliopathies.

Genetic associations of the disease are also being investigated. Conditions like spina bifida appear to be associated with the syndrome.
