Symptoms and Signs of Dandy Walker Syndrome
Dandy-Walker syndrome can appear dramatically or develop unnoticed. Symptoms often occur in early infancy.Symptoms include:
- Slower motor development
- Progressive enlargement of the skull
- Irritability
- Vomiting
- Convulsions
- Abnormal functioning of the cerebellum may occur
- Unsteadiness
- Lack of muscle coordination
- Jerky movements of the eyes
- Increased head circumference
- Bulging at the back of the skull
- Problems with the nerves that control the eyes, face and neck
- Abnormal breathing patterns
