Meningitis: inflammation or infection of the coverings of the brain

Encephalitis: inflammation or infection of the brain per se

Septicemia: a bloodstream infection, characterized by bacteria and/or their toxins in the blood

Hallucination: False sensation of something being present when it is not really there

Illusion: Misinterpretation of one thing as something else

Organophosphates: insecticidal compounds

EEG: A test to measure the electrical activity of the brain
