Diet, Lifestyle and Heart Disease - Exercise
Exercise and Heart Disease
Exercise has a beneficial effect on the heart. Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your blood pressure and maintain a healthy heart thus keeping heart disease at bay. Try to do some moderate exercise for at least thirty minutes everyday and up to sixty minutes if you are overweight.
Try to use the stairs to climb and stretch and move around instead of staying physically in one place all the time.
Keep a log of all your physical activity, which will help you to see whether the calories you have consumed balance the calories you have burnt.
Decrease the amount of time you spend in front of the television the computer (unless its your job), surfing and playing computer games and utilize this time pursuing a more active life style.
Being physically active and fit will not only improve your physiological and mental health but it may also become a motivator for your family, friends and peers to adopt a healthier life style.
Walk for at least 30 minutes daily to stay fit
