Glossary

Beta-blockers: are medications used to treat high blood pressure.


Calcium-channel blockers: are medications that reduce electrical conduction in the heart and dilate arteries. This reduces blood pressure.

Ventricular tachycardia: refers to a pulse rate of more than 100bpm with at least three irregular heartbeats continuously.
