First Trimester of Pregnancy - Laboratory Investigations
Laboratory investigations
The followings investigations will be done once during this trimester, preferably in the first visit Blood investigations include- Hemoglobin (indicates anemia)
- Blood grouping and typing
- VDRL (test to detect syphilis)
- ELISA (test to detect HIV)
- Urine investigations
- Urine albumin
- Urine sugar (indicates diabetes)
- Any pus cells (indicates infection)
