Ganglions - Complications

The procedures both surgical and conservative have risks and include-

The reappearance of the ganglions after conservative treatment is very high.

Ganglions can sometimes reappear even after surgery.

Infection is a risk associated with both the procedures.

Excision of ganglions could sometimes cause a loss of movement, instability of the joint, and damage to the nerve or blood vessel.

A volar ganglion has a greater risk of nerve and blood vessel damage due to its proximity to the radial artery.
