Ganglions - Glossary
Ganglion: A cyst in a tendon.Cyst: A sac or capsule filled with fluid.
Cancer: A term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control. Cancer cells can invade nearby tissues and can spread through the bloodstream and lymphatic system to other parts of the body.
Ligament: Fibrous, slightly elastic band of tissue which connects the ends of bones and prevents excessive movement of the joint, or holds organs in place.
Tendon: A tough, inelastic connective tissue that joins muscle to another structure, usually bone.
Tendinitis,Tendonitis: Is the condition of inflammation of the tendon.
Infection: Invasion of the body by agents (bacteria, viruses or fungi) that cause disease or tissue damage.
Arthritis: A disease marked by inflammation and pain in the joints.
