Tipping the scales in your favor

Be practical when trying to lose weight. The focus must be on stamina building and staying healthy

If weight control is on your agenda, it is important to be realistic and not be carried away by images of reed-thin models sashaying down fashion ramps. Instead of comparing oneself with one and all it would be better to check your Body Mass Index (BMI) and decide for yourself if you are on the favored side of the scale or not.

Resorting to extreme measures to burn the fat could result in serious medical complications. Hence it is advisable for the uninitiated to seek guidance from a health expert. The focus must be on stamina building and staying healthy. This can be achieved by combining stretching and aerobic exercises with healthy eating and a sensible sleep routine.

Remember - Staying fit will always remain in vogue. So grind those muscles religiously, grab 40 winks whenever you can and say no to those yummy French fries, if you sincerely desire to stay in shape!
