1. Who implants Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator or an ICD device?

A Cardiac Electrophysiologist will implant it with help of a cardiac surgeon or they may for it on their own.


2. How long does the battery last?

The battery lasts between 5 to 7 years and it depends on the number of shocks delivered by the device. The generator is replaced by a new one when the battery is nearing to exhaust.
