Polymerase Chain Reaction: A laboratory test used to amplify the DNA.


MRI: An imaging test that provides in-depth images of organs and structures in the body.

CT scan: An imaging technique that gives cross-sectional images of areas inside the body. Also called computerized axial tomography (CAT) or Computed Tomography scanning.
