Auto-immune disorders: The body's immune system considers the healthy cells as foreign bodies and begins to attack them. An auto-immune disorder can affect different types of body tissues and organs.


Connective tissue disorders: A group of disorders affecting the protein-rich tissue which supports organs in the body. Connective tissues include fat, bone and cartilage. These disorders usually affect the skin, muscles and joints but can also affect other organs like the heart, lungs, kidneys, blood vessels and eyes.

Suturing: Where stitches are used to join two surfaces.
