Cryotherapy: freezing to minus 800 C with the help of a probe causing local inflammation and adhesion of tissues.Sclera: Outer coat of the eye ball
Endophthalmitis: Infection of the entire eye ball except the outer coat, the sclera.
Dilated retinal examination: Retinal examination by an eye doctor after 30 mins of putting dilating eye drops.
Choroidal detachment: Detachment of the intermediate coat from the outer coat of the eye ball. It usually resolves on its own over 1-2 wks.
Retinopexy: Sealing of the retinal hole with the outer coats of the eye.
Central vision: Straight ahead vision. It has the best visual acuity. It is due to macula which is the central part of the retina rich in cones which are specialized types of cells sensitive to light and color.
