Skin Disease or Dermatology - Inflammatory Skin Disorders
Inflammatory skin disorders
Inflammatory skin disorders cover a broad category that includes many conditions ranging in severity, from mild itching to grave medical health complications
These disorders are common in people of all ages and races. They are characterized by irritation and inflammation of the skin. These diseases may sometimes be disfiguring and can cause great discomfort to the affected individual. Inflammatory skin disorders(2✔) include the following well-known conditions
Acne: bacteria-infected, pus-filled lesions that clog hair follicles giving rise to eruptions, called acne
Dermatitis/Eczema: These include red-colored rashes, itching, swelling, and blisters.
Psoriasis: This skin condition is characterized by red, raised inflammatory plaques covered by white scales. Psoriasis may also develop after a streptococcal infection. At such times, the lesions appear small and are pink in color.
Sebaceous cysts: In this condition, a swelling appears over the skin when a gland or a duct becomes blocked. These are usually not painful but may become so when infected.
Diaper rash: Seen as reddish discoloration on the babies' bottoms. These rashes are usually mild, but may cause pain when blisters are formed.
