About Skin

Skin is the largest organ of the body and provides physical barrier to help keep out environmental toxins. It regulates body temperature, retains water, fat, Vitamin D and nutrients.

Skin can sense pain and stimulation. Skin consists of three components - Epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous hypodermis. All these three components regulate the water and acts as a protective barrier.

The stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the epidermis, consists mainly of dead cells and water and contributes to the skin's elasticity. Face and skin surface are lubricated naturally. Sweat, sebaceous materials and oil form a natural emulsion that glows freely over skin surface.
