Cortex: The outer layer of bonesHematoma: A localized collection of blood anywhere in the body
Meninges: The coverings of the brain
Osteoporosis: A disease characterized by weakness and fragility of the bones
Multiple Myeloma: A cancer of the plasma cells of the bone marrow
Contusion: A region of injured tissue in which blood capillaries have been ruptured
Concussion: Temporary unconsciousness or confusion and other symptoms caused by a blow on the head
Raccoon eyes: Accumulation of blood around the eyelids
Craniectomy: Removal of a portion of the skull
Cranioplasty: Repair of defects in the skull
