Types of Stem Cells
What are the different stem cell types?
A key goal of stem cell research is to understand how differentiation is controlled and learn how to direct specific cellular development. Research on both adult and embryonic stem cells will make a complementary contribution to these objectives.
There are four types of stem cells:
- Totipotent Stem Cells
- Pluripotent stem cells
- Multipotent stem cells
- Adult Stem Cells
The different cells can be explained in the context of how the cell develops.
