Tapeworm Infections - Prognosis

Complete eradication of the tapeworm from the body is possible only after treatment.


Serious problems arise when there is cysticercosis. But early diagnosis and proper treatment can prevent the damage of the brain and liver. If not it becomes fatal and in rare cases have to depend on liver transplantation to save the patient.
