What are the Symptoms and Signs of Burkitt's lymphoma?
Children with burkitt's lymphoma are first diagnosed when they have already well progressed into the third or the fourth stage of this fast-progressing disease.
Burkitt's lymphoma symptoms may first manifest as painless swellings on the neck, groin or underarm, where the lymph nodes are located. However it is also common to first detect the symptoms of the disease in the abdominal area, testes, ovaries, brain, and spinal fluid.
Common symptoms include:
- Fever and Night sweats
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Unexplained weight loss
- Bone and joint pain
- Sore throat
- Itching skin
- Recurring infections
- Abdominal pain
- Constipation and decreases appetite
- Respiratory problems
