Glossary

Xenophobia- Extreme fear and apprehension, experienced on meeting a stranger or a foreigner.

Racism- False belief that traits inherent to a particular race (community of people) are superior in culture and achievement to others; hatred or intolerance based on such belief.

Tachypnoea- Excessively rapid breathing.

Tachycardia- Quickened heart beat.


Cognitive behavioral therapy- Problems concerning dysfunctional emotions and behaviors can be rectified through cognitive behavioral therapy, a psychotherapeutic approach that uses a systematic, goal-oriented for the same.

Ethnic cleansing- Elimination of undesirable ethnic groups either by genocide or forced emigration.

Cultural appropriation- Willing adoption of elements of one culture by another cultural group.
