What are the different kinds of malarial diseases?
Symptoms of Malaria appear after 7 to 40 days following a Mosquito bite.
- 9 to 14 days for Plasmodium (P.) falciparum.
- 12 to 18 days for P. vivax and P. ovale.
- 18 to 40 days for P. malariae.
Based on the symptoms produced Malaria can be classified as
- Uncomplicated Malaria
- Mild/Classical Malaria
- Severe Malaria
- Malaria Relapses
Early diagnosis and treatment can give effective treatment.
