Glossary

Bursae: It is a sac which is lined by the synovial membrane which contains fluid. It protects the bones and tendons from friction by forming a cushion.

Joint: The point of juncture between two or more bones where movement occurs.

Arthroscopy: It is detecting device, which evaluates the level of damage in the joints.

Ligament: Fibrous, slightly elastic band of tissue which connects the ends of bones and prevents excessive movement of the joint, or holds organs in place.
