Summer Fun in your Own Backyard
Buy an economy size jug of bubbles and have a blast blowing bubbles around the yard.
Gardening
Even the littlest kids can help water the plants. When they are 4-5 years old and, they can help to pull some weeds and pick veggies and flowers. You can make this into a great learning experience. You can incorporate teaching them about plants, the life cycle, taking care of things, working together as a team and as a family.
Biking
It's a great excercise and adventure for kids. Now make sure that everyone has proper fitting helmets and that tires are in good shape. Remember to bring along plenty of water!
Walk
Going for a short walk along with your kids is lot of fun!. While walking, talk to your kids, about their day, their activities at school, their ocnversations with their friends etc. Let them know that your attention is not focused only on the paper, TV, work, etc. but its 100% for them. They will love it, and so will you.
Camping
Camping is a lot of fun and kids enjoy camping the most. A bit more equipment needed here, but what a wonderful family activity. Cooking over campfires, fishing in lakes, sleeping under the stars, singing songs together, dancing aroung the camp fire etc. is a lot of fun.
You can make the summer a fun time for your children by making sure they follow some simple guidelines for their safety and go out during their vacation!!
Have a great summer!!!
