Why is Carbachol Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a cholinergic agent/miotic, prescribed for glaucoma, and also used during ophthalmic surgery. It binds and activates the acetyl-choline receptor.

Hypersensitivity.

The recommended dose is one-half milliliter should be gently instilled into the affected eyes.
