This medication is a calcimimetic agent, prescribed for secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease and for hypocalcaemia in patients with parathyroid cancer. It helps in parathyroid hormone secretion in order to decrease the amount of calcium in the blood.When should Cinacalcet not be taken? (Contraindications)
