This medication is an intravenous immune globulin (IGIV), prescribed for cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease associated with kidney, lung, liver, pancreas, and heart transplants.  It increases the antibody concentration in the body temporarily.

When should Cytomegalovirus Immune Globulin not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with selective immunoglobulin A (IgA) deficiency, and known hypersensitivity.
