Why is Decitabine Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a nucleoside analog, prescribed for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). It blocks cell growth in the body.

When should Decitabine not be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Decitabine?

IV- The recommended dose is 5 mg/m² by continuous infusion over 3 hours repeated every 8 hours for 3 days. This cycle should be repeated every 6 weeks.
