Why is Fesoterodine Fumarate Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is an antimuscarinic agent, prescribed for overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, and leakage. It blocks a chemical , which causes bladder contraction.

When should Fesoterodine Fumarate not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with urinary retention, gastric retention, uncontrolled eye pressure and hypersensitivity.
It should not be co-administered with CYP3A4 Inhibitors.

What is the dosage of Fesoterodine Fumarate?

PO- The recommended starting dose is 4 mg once daily. It may be increased to 8 mg once daily.

How should Fesoterodine Fumarate be taken?

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food, once a day.
