Why is Meprobamate and Aspirin Prescribed? (Indications)

This combination medication contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and an anxiolytic, prescribed for pain with anxiety or tension from muscle/bone problems.  Meprobamate works by affecting certain areas of the brain to help become calm where as aspirin decreases the pain.

200/325mg- PO- The recommended dose is 1 or 2 tablets 3 to 4 times daily.
