This medication is an estrogen and progestin combination, prescribed for contraception. It works by preventing ovulation and by changing the cervical mucus and the lining of the uterus.

Contraindicated in patients with breast cancer, cancer of the uterus, cervix, or vagina, unusual vaginal bleeding, liver cancer, severe high blood pressure, blood disease porphyria, headache, recent heart attack, stroke, blood clot disorder, and hypersensitivity.

6mg norelgestromin (NGMN) and 0.75 mg ethinyl estradiol (EE).
