Adult- This eye drops come in 2 strengths – 0.1% and 0.2%. The 0.1% are administered 2 times a day with a gap of 6 to 8 hours between them. The 0.2% drops are administered once a day.How should Olopatadine be taken?
It comes as eye drops to instill over the affected eyes, twice a day.What are the warnings and precautions for Olopatadine?
•Remove your contact lenses before applying this eye drops and put them back 10 minutes later because this solution contains benzalkonium chloride, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses.What are the side effects of Olopatadine?
Central nervous System- Weakness, headache, fatigue, somnolence, depression.Gastrointestinal- Bitter taste, nausea, taste perversion.
Eye- Blurred vision, burning, dry eye, foreign body sensation, increase of blood flow, inflammation of cornea, swelling of eye lid, itching, stinging.
Respiratory- Upper respiratory tract infection, throat pain, cough, inflammation of the nasopharynx.
