Why is Sotalol Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a non-selective beta-blocker, prescribed for irregular heartbeats. It works by helping the heart beat regularly for a longer period of time.

When should Sotalol not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with bronchial asthma, slow heart rate, heart diseases, heart failure and previous evidence of hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Sotalol?

Adult- PO- The recommended initial dose is 80 mg twice daily. It may be increased, if needed.
