Why is Travoprost Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a synthetic prostaglandin F analogue, prescribed for open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It lowers pressure in the eye by increasing the flow of natural eye fluids out of the eye.

When should Travoprost not be taken? (Contraindications)

Ophthalmic- Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
