Why is Ziv-Aflibercept Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a recombinant fusion protein, prescribed for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) along with other medications.  It blocks certain growth factors that are involved in the formation of new blood vessels in tumors to prevent tumor growth.

What is the dosage of Ziv-Aflibercept?

IV- The recommended dose is 4 mg/kg over 1 hour infusion for every two weeks.
