Dr.Rajendran.R MBBS( 1981), MS-general surgery(1986),MCh-Pediatric Surgery(1989) from Government Medical College, Trivandrum and DrNB-Pediatric Surgery(1990) from National Board of Examinations, Govt. Show more.. of India. He was best-outgoer in MS general surgery & first DrNB(pediatric surgery) holder in Kerala state. Also Fellow of International College of Surgeons(ped.surgery)(1994), Fellow of IMA Academy of Medical Specialities(in PEDIATRIC UROLOGY)(2000) & Fellow of IAPS(since 2010).

Attended special trainings in pediatric urology & pediatric laparoscopic surgery. Entered into pediatric surgery service in 1985. Worked in Govt. medical colleges and private multispeciality hospitals. Has served as Hospital Director, Professor & Head of Department of Pediatric surgery, in Kerala state,India. Had worked as Director of PG training & Head of Pediatric surgery department in a teaching hospital under Government of Saudi Arabia. Now working as senior consultant in Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology in Trivandrum district, Kerala state.

Has over 39 years of working experience. He is specially skilled in plastic surgical correction of genitourinary abnormalities of children and adolescents. He also has vast experience in plastic surgery of cleft-lip, cleft palate, treatment of haemangioma etc. Was research-guide to PG students. Has attended about 170 scientific conferences(international, national and state-level), presented about 100 scientific papers, chaired innumerable scientific sessions. Has delivered about 400 lectures in meetings, conferences and educational programmes.Published 40 scientific papers, contributed chapters in 2 textbooks, edited 4 scientific books and 1 other book for rotary district. He is reviewer of international journals. Was member of Travancore-Cochin Medical Council in Kerala. Life-member of more than 10 professional organizations. Has organized more than 150 medical education programmes for doctors. Was secretary-general of Kerala Government Medical College Teacher's Association, founder-president of Indian Medical Association(IMA) Kazhakuttom branch, state-level leader of IMA Kerala, editor of Kerala-state chapter of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons(IAPS), executive committee member of Trivandrum branch of Association of Surgeons of India(ASI) and Rotary International district chairman. He is KERALA STATE-PRESIDENT-ELECT of IAPS and National Executive Committee member of Indian Society of Pediatric Urology.
