Dr. Vijaya Srinivas, MBBS, DGO (ICMCH, Kolkatta) was a retired senior clinical research physician at Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII) in Mysore, India. At present she is a free lancer in cervical cancer prevention program by addressing Awarenes about HPV vaccine and screening methods.
After completion of her medical degree under Madras Medical Council India, she joined the Tamil Nadu Government medical service in 1974 and served as a Woman Assistant surgeon for five years.

After her marriage, she settled in Mysore and joined as a Lady Medical Officer in Family Planning Association of India Mysore, which is funded by the International Planned Parenthood Federation, and rendered her service for more than 25 years. During this period, she performed several thousands of tubectomies, MTP, and MR, as well.
