Physiology :


Tocainide is an analog of lidocaine used in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias.

4-10 µg/mL (18-43 µmol/L)

Critical Values :


>12 µg/mL (>52 µmol/L)

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC).

Side effects :


Neurologic faintness, tremor, coma, seizures, edema and respiratory arrest.
