How to Take Abacavir, Dolutegravir and Lamivudine and it's Dose


Administer Abacavir, Dolutegravir, and Lamivudine tablets by mouth, with or without meals.
Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet; instead, ingest it whole.
For suspension tablets, adhere to the guidelines provided on their packaging.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

  • Contraindicated in patients with known allergies to Abacavir, Dolutegravir and Lamivudine.

  • Abacavir, Dolutegravir and Lamivudine may interact with other medications. Consult with your doctor to avoid any interaction related side effects.

  • Contraindicated in patients with a history of liver disease, heart disease, or kidney disease.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid taking this medication.

  • This medication is not recommended for children younger than 3 months and less than 6kg in body weight.

What if you Miss a Dose of Abacavir, Dolutegravir and Lamivudine?

If a dose is missed, it's advisable to forego it and proceed with the next scheduled dose properly. Doubling up on the dose should be avoided.
