How to Take Amifampridine and it's Dose


Amifampridine is available as a 10mg tablet to be taken orally.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

The recommended initial dose is 15 mg to 30 mg daily in divided doses (3 to 4 times daily).
Starting dosage is 15 mg daily for patients with renal impairment, hepatic impairment.
The dose can be raised by 5mg every 3 to 4 days. The maximum single dose is 20mg.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

1.      Hypersensitivity to Amifampridine or Aminopyridine
2.      History of seizures

What if you Miss a Dose of Amifampridine?

In case of missing the dose, patients should not take double or extra doses.
