How to Take Eplerenone and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adults: PO- Start with 25 mg every day and titrate to target dose of 50 mg every day within 4 weeks as tolerated by the patient.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in people with severe kidney or liver problem, co-administration with ketoconazole, itraconazole, serum potassium greater than 5.5 mEq/L, type 2 diabetes with microalbuminuria, serum creatinine greater than 2 mg/dL in men or greater than 1.8 mg/dl in women, Creatinine Clearance Rate (Ccr) 30 mL/min or less.
