• Hydroxyapatite comes as a tablet or suspension which has to be taken by mouth with food.
• Maximal benefit can be obtained while taken with vitamin D

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 1,660 mg twice daily.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

This medication is a naturally occurring mineral, prescribed for postmenopausal osteoporosis.
